Boston Med Tech Hit With Drug Fraud Charges: DA A Boston Medical Center radiology tech is facing charges after he received improper prescriptions for controlled substances from a nurse he worked with at the hospital, officials said. Rafael Garcia, 44, is charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws, obtaining drugs by fraud and larceny of a drug, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said.  A pharmacist became suspicious of Boston Medical Center nurse practitioner John Cann for writing several prescriptions that seemed suspicious, the prosecutor said.
