Update: Pedestrian, 39, Hit By SUV On Route 1 In Peabody A man was transported to the hospital after being hit by an SUV on Route 1, officials say.  A 39-year-old pedestrian, from Mashpee, received serious injuries when he was hit by a 2021 Toyota Highlander on Route 1 in Peabody around 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, according to the Massachusetts State Police Department.
