Skeletal Remains Found In Saugus Woods Police are investigating after human remains were found by someone walking their dog in Saugus Sunday morning, Feb. 18.  The discovery happened in the woods off David Drive just before 10 a.m. The skeletal remains were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine how they died and to identify them.  Police say they do not believe there is any risk to the public.  The Essex County District Attorney's Office did not release any other information about the discovery.

19-Year-Old Accused Of Killing Teen At Lowell Party Nabbed In California A 19-year-old Lowell man has been arrested in California and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of another teen during a party in Lowell. Dustin Defrietas, 19, was arrested by police in Stockton, California, after Sakdara Khoeun, also 19, was shot and killed at a party at a home on Westford Street in Lowell on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Khoeun died later that same day, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said in a statement. Woman Found Dead On South Boston Beach ID'd By Police; Investigators Narrow Cause of Death A woman whose body was found on Carson Beach in South Boston Monday morning, Oct. 16, has been identified as a 29-year-old woman.  Megan Anderson, whose last permanent address was in Las Vegas, was found on the beach near Day Boulevard just before 7 a.m., Massachusetts State Police said. She may have been homeless.  A preliminary examination showed no indication of trauma on her body, police said. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will release the cause of death.

Body Found In Lowell Canal; Police Attempting To ID Them A body was pulled from the water of a Lowell canal Thursday morning, Sept. 7, but investigators are not sure who it is or how it got there.  Officers were called to 110 Canal Street around 11 a.m. after a pedestrian spotted the body floating in the water, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said.   The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how the person died.
