3 Family Members Dead Of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning In Nahant ID'd A 77-year-old man, his sister-in-law, and nephew have been identified as the three people found dead inside a home in Nahant on Monday, Jan. 8.  John Benson, his 74-year-old Youngae Benson, and 45-year-old Andrew Carruth were found by police after someone called authorities to perform a welfare check at a home on Cottage Street, the Essex County District Attorney said on Tuesday.  Firefighters said carbon monoxide levels were tested very high in the home, and residents were asked to stay away from the area Monday night. No Injuries Reported After 2-Alarm Fire Damages Swampscott Home: Officials No injuries were reported after a home on the North Shore was severely damaged by a two-alarm fire over the weekend, fire officials confirm to Daily Voice.  The fire broke out at a two-story home at 137 Elmwood Road in Swampscott in the afternoon of Sunday, Dec. 5, Swampscott's local fire union said on Facebook. Shark Spotted Off Coast Of Nahant Beach, Swimmers Warned The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation is warning beachgoers at Nahant to be aware after a shark was spotted near the beach on Monday, Sept. 12.  The agency tweeted that purple flags are up at the Nahant Beach Reservation to warn swimmers about the danger as the lifeguard service has ended for the season. The MCR did not give any description of the shark or what species it could be.
