Popular Newton Brewery Pours Last Pint Months After Opening
A popular spot for beer, trivia, and quality time with neighbors moved locations in early 2023, and only a few months later announced that it had closed for good.
Burke's Alewerks, owned by Brian Burke and originally located in Hanover, moved its operations to West Newbury in January 2023, and announced its closure on Monday, May 8, according to a post on the brewery's Facebook page.
"It is with regret and sadness that I announce the end of Burke’s Alewerks," the post reads. "We poured our last pint this past week."

Deep Cuts, a 240-person capacity music venue is set to open at 21 Main Street in Medford Square on Saturday, May 20, according to the venue's Facebook page.
