Body Pulled From Charles River ID'd As Newton Man A man whose body was pulled from the Charles River has been identified as a Middlesex County resident. Massachusetts State Police patrols responded to the Boston side of the Charles River, a short distance east of the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge after a dog walker observed the body close to the river bank at approximately 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 19. Police Search For Explosives Underwater After Unexploded Ordinance Found In Needham State police dive teams searched the Charles River on Monday morning, March 11, after two explosives were found there last week.  Magnet fishers found what appeared to be a bomb on March 2 and an unexploded "bazooka" round on March 6 while casting from the Kendrick Street Bridge, CBS Boston reported.
