Ice Rink Stabbing: 32-Year-Old Hospitalized After Assault In Newton, Police Say The suspect of a stabbing that took place in an ice rink's parking lot is at large, police say.  Officials responded to a report of an assault with a knife in the parking lot of the Daly Rink, located at 4 Nonantum Road in Newton at approximately 9:16 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, according to the Massachusetts State Police.  A 32-year-old man from Quincy was found suffering from a stab wound.  The victim had driven to the rink to play soccer on an adjacent field, he said. Newton Rescue Crews Pull Crashed Car Out Of Cheesecake Brook After Driver Loses Control: Cops Newton police are asking the public to drive carefully after a car crashed into Cheesecake Brook just after 6:30 a.m. Friday morning and had to be pulled out of the water.  Witnesses told police the driver was speeding at the time of the crash and lost control, Newton police said in a Facebook post. The speed limit in that area is 30 miles per hour because of the nearby middle school and high-pedestrian traffic.  Luckily, the driver escaped with minor injuries, but they did receive several charges. Authorities did not release their name.
