Maryland AG Releases Report Into Fatal Officer-Involved Barbershop Shooting The Maryland Attorney General's Office has released its report on a deadly officer-involved barbershop shooting in Baltimore last year. Shortly after 3 p.m. on Nov. 13, 2021, off-duty Baltimore Police Sgt. David Burch was getting a haircut at Bladi Style Barbershop on O’Donnell Street when Carlos David Ortega walked in and pulled out a handgun from his waistband. The report determined that Ortega then shot Rafael Jeffers several times while Burch was sitting in Jeffers’ barber chair. Shooting Suspect Apprehended, Charged With Attempted Murder In Maryland A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection to an attempted murder investigation of a man in Baltimore earlier this month, authorities say. Rooney Poudyel is believed to have fired several shots in the 2900 block of O'Donnell Street, shortly before 3 a.m., Monday, July 11, according to Baltimore police. The shots resulted in bullets grazing the 31-year-old victim in the arm. Poudyel has been charged with attempted first-degree murder.
