Tens Of Thousands In DMV Without Power With New Round Of Rain Approaching
Tens of thousands of residents throughout the DMV region are in the dark as whipping winds and heavy rains have knocked out power to some neighborhoods and businesses.
With the worst of the storm yet to come, as of 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9 Baltimore Gas and Electric crews were still working to repair 720 active outages impacting 34,513 of the company's 1,348,380.

Thousands in Maryland remain in the dark days after severe storms left extensive damage and flooding in parts of the state.
As of 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug 9, Baltimore Gas and Electric was still working to repair 1,034 active outages that were impacting 15,067 of the company's 1,340,384 Maryland customers.

Funeral Arrangements Set For Teen Reportedly Shot Over Gatorade Bottle In West Baltimore
The family of the teenage girl that was killed by a 9-year-old boy who the state says is too young to charge, said their daughter was killed over a bottle of Gatorade, reports the New York Post.
As previously reported by Daily Voice, NyKayla Strawder, 15, was shot in the head by the boy on her front porch in the 600 block of Linnard Street, Saturday, Aug. 6. Her family says the young gunman had a dispute with Strawder's 11 year old brother, and came to settle it with a gun.
