A 15-year-old girl was killed in a Maryland townhouse fire Wednesday night, while two other victims were injured, police announced. The Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services responded to the blaze on the 11500 block of Shell Flower Lane in Columbia around 7:30 p.m. March 20. Crews found heavy flames coming from the second story and brought the fire under control in about 20 minutes. Nine people from Chambersburg were in a deadly single-vehicle crash near the Pennsylvania-Maryland Stateline on Sunday, Dec. 4, authorities say. 59-year-old Mary Gordon lost control of her vehicle and crashed her 2018 Dodge Journey into a tree in the 5900 block of Little Cove Rd. at around 1:56 a.m., according to Pennsylvania state police. PA Man Strangled By Pet Snake Shot By Police Dies Days Later
A Pennsylvania man who was strangled by his pet snake has died days after the incident, authorities said. Elliot Senseman, 27, died from anoxic brain injury due to asphyxiation by constriction after an 18-foot Boa constrictor-type snake wrapped itself around the man's neck inside his Church Street home in Fogelsville (Upper Macungie Township) on Wednesday, July 20, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. An 81-year-old woman was killed after accidentally being run over by her own SUV in St. Mary’s County, officials announced. Mechanicsville's Doris Marita Thompson was parked in front of Taco Bell on Triangle in Charlotte Hall when she got out of her 2013 Ford Escape, which began rolling backwards across the parking lot around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 6, officials in St. Mary's County said.
