A 25-year-old man will have decades behind bars to contemplate his life decisions after being convicted of the murder of a man during a botched drug deal, the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office announced on Wednesday. Silver Spring resident Malik Jefferson has been sentenced to 55 years in prison in connection to the murder of Jose Osvaldo Genao Romero in in February 2022. A 22-year-old Maryland man has been sentenced for his role in a 2020 murder of a 17-year-old. Tyliek Anthony Spence, of Waldorf, was sentenced to life in prison with all but eight years suspended for his role in a murder on Thursday, March 7, State’s Attorney for Charles County Tony Covington said. A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting of a 21-year-old driver earlier this month in a drug deal gone bad, authorities in Prince George's County said.
