Potomac Horse Center To Close In July 2024
Some members of a Montgomery County community are rallying in an effort to save a beloved recreational spot for families and horse lovers alike that is set to close this summer. Thousands have signed a petition to save the Potomac Horse Center (PHC) after it was announced that it would be closing its doors in July. The last day will be on Monday, July 22, though lessons will continue as scheduled through June 16, which marks the last day of its Late Spring session. New details have been released by the Metropolitan Police Department following the midday drive-by shooting in Northeast DC that sent four to the hospital. At approximately 12:20 p.m. on Friday, April 19, MPD Assistant Chief Darnel Robinson said that a vehicle heading north along the 1200 block of Mt. Olivet Road NE opened fire outside the Circle 7 Food and Grocery Market without ever coming to a stop. A 16-year-old has been arrested days after a teenager was gunned down when a fracas broke out inside a DC Metro platform, according to investigators. On Tuesday, the Metropolitan Police Department announced that a shooter has been arrested and charged as a juvenile with murder in connection to the fatal shooting of 14-year-old Avion Evans in the Brookland-Catholic University Metro Station in the 800 block Monroe Street NE. Reward Increases For Info In 2021 Murder Of ‘Family Man’ Tony Valenti
The reward for information regarding the 2021 murder of popular community member, Rosario “Tony” Valenti, has gone up to $8,000. Valenti was attacked and stabbed to death in the front parking lot while he was leaving Papas Smokehouse in Dundalk shortly after midnight on Friday, February 26, 2021, according to Baltimore County Police.
