The third time was a charm for prosecutors in Montgomery County after a Silver Spring man was convicted of the vicious assault of his landlord over rent. A District man has will serve more time behind bars after the repeat offender was sentenced for drug and weapon offenses near a Northeast DC high school. DeAngelo Wayne McNeil, 37, was sentenced to three years in prison for unlawfully possessing a firearm and, while near a school, possessing cocaine base with the intent to sell it, federal authorities announced. Two teens are wanted by the Anne Arundel Police Department for a hate crime after allegedly vandalizing a statue, officials say. An investigation has been launched into the destruction of property at Saint Albans Episcopal Church in Glen Burnie late on Sunday afternoon.
