A 65-year-old man got more than he bargained for when he arranged to meet with what he thought was a teen girl in Anne Arundel County and instead was met by Maryland State Police investigators. Luis Esteban Borunda went through great measures in an effort to sexually solicit a 13-year-old girl, though in reality he was talking to an undercover officer posing as a child on an app, authorities announced. A 51-year-old Mt. Airy man has been arrested after being accused of sexually soliciting a minor that he thought was a teenage girl, but was actually a police investigator authorities say. Todd Eugene Immel tried to talk to a girl he believed was 15 years old on Wednesday, Jan. 18, and asked her to meet with him after a sexually explicit conversation, according to a Montgomery County Police Department spokesperson. Registered Sex Offender Busted For Texting With Maryland State Trooper Posing As Teen Girl
A registered sex offender is facing new charges after attempting to solicit sex from an undercover Maryland State Police trooper who was posing as a child over a smartphone app in Harford County, authorities announced. Elkton resident Scott Dye, 43, was charged with one count of sexual solicitation of a minor and three counts of possession of child pornography after being busted by state police investigators.
