Toddler Killed In Baltimore Mattress Fire Homicide ID'd: Police

The girl whose body was found after a house fire last week, has been identified, authorities said.

My’royal Bennett, 3, was killed on Friday, April 9 after a mattress was apparently set on fire at a two-story home in the 4700 block of Vancouver Road, Baltimore Police said.  The girl's death was ruled a homicide on Monday, April 11.

After Bennett was identified, a body found near I-95 on the Harford/Cecil County border on Tuesday was positively identified as her mother, Danielle Parnell. 

So far, no suspects have been identified and no further details have been released. The investigation is ongoing. 

Crews responded to the fire in a two-story row home in the 4700 block of Vancouver Road around 6:48 p.m. on Friday, April 8, the city's firefighters union said on Twitter.
