Moped Rider Killed Crashing Into Tractor-Trailer On I-495 In Maryland
Traffic was tied up for miles on I-495 in Prince George's County on Friday afternoon when a moped rider was killed after crashing into a tractor-trailer. With travelers hitting the road for the long Labor Day Weekend, traffic came to a half in the southbound lanes of the interstate near MD Route 295 as Maryland State Police investigated the fatal crash. Police have identified the 30-year-old woman who was killed in an early morning head-on crash in Prince George's County that left an infant hospitalized. Bowie resident Angelica Cepero was driving a Nissan Altima that was involved in a crash shortly before 6 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31 that left her dead and three others injured, according to Maryland State Police. A 17-year-old boy is dead in an early morning fatal pedestrian crash in Baltimore County, authorities said. Initial investigation revealed Kingdavid Okolo, of Cockeysville, ran into the road for unknown reasons when they were struck by a tractor-trailer, Maryland State Police said.
