Botched Bank Robber From DC Gets Prison Time For Taking Police On Pursuit In Maryland
A District man will spend nearly a decade behind bars for his role in a botched attempted bank heist in Calvert County and subsequent police pursuit, the state's attorney's office announced.
Cedric Fonta Moore, 39, has been sentenced to 23 years in prison, with all but nine years suspended following an incident at the M&T Bank in Dunkirk in May.

A District man may spend decades behind bars after crossing into Southern Maryland, robbing a Calvert County bank and fleeing from police with some friends, authorities announced.
Silas Moore, 37, admitted to his role in the May robbery of M&T Bank in Dunkirk that resulted in a high-speed pursuit with deputies from the Calvert County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators say that on Monday, May 1, Moore walked into the bank and handed one of the tellers a note demanding cash while brandishing a handgun.

Brentyn Scott Finn, 33, who was convicted of robbing an Eldersburg Susquehanna Bank branch, according to the Baltimore Sun, is again wanted in Carroll County, the sheriff's office announced on Wednesday, July 20.

A Baltimore man who robbed the same bank twice in one week has been sentenced to nearly six years in federal prison, the US Attorney’s Office for Maryland said.
Lloyd Philip Simon, 71, was sentenced to 70 months, followed by five years of parole, and ordered to pay $2,034 in restitution on Thursday, March 24, the office said.
