A Connecticut man faces explosives charges after police say he made and stored explosive materials in a home where three other people lived, authorities said.
Aleksi Javanainen, 30, was arrested Thursday, Oct. 2, after a domestic incident, Connecticut State Police said. A second search warrant led police to bomb-making materials at his Hanks Hill Road home in Mansfield on Oct. 3.
Officers seized fuels, oxidizers, acids and corrosives from the first floor, police said.

A tip about drugs at a Connecticut motel led police to seize roughly 250 grams of crystal meth, one of the department’s largest meth seizures, authorities said.
Ronald Buquet, 48, of Stamford, was arrested last week in an investigation that lasted several weeks.
Investigators received information that Buquet had crystal meth in a room at the Red Carpet Inn in Stamford, police said in a Tuesday, Oct. 6, news release.
