Melissa Esperanza Ramirez-Romero, 27, of Stamford, was arrested Friday, July 24, in connection with the deaths of Bridgeport Police Officer Cooper Whiteside, 38, and Brittany Islami, 34, following a Danbury crash on Sugar Hollow Road, authorities said.

Police have arrested four New York women on prostitution charges following an undercover sting at two Connecticut massage businesses, authorities said.
Yue Mei Gao, 49, Mei Li Huang, 55, Hui-Zhi Yang, 57, and Zhimin Zhu, 50, were arrested at the Shelton massage parlors QQ Spa on Howe Avenue and Yama Massage on River Road, police said.

Curtis Cole, 47, was arrested on Wednesday, July 29, in Camden, New Jersey, after the US Marshals Service and its regional fugitive task forces took him into custody, officials said.

A 29-year-old Connecticut man died after he was thrown from his motorcycle in a crash on Route 207, according to state police.
Austin Leigh Lippincott, of Uncasville, died Tuesday night, July 28, at Backus Hospital after a van crashed into his motorcycle at the intersection of Route 207 and Pautipaug Hill Road in Franklin earlier that day, Connecticut State Police said.
