A Pennsylvania man who survived being shot twice during the 2024 assassination attempt on President Donald Trump has died two years after the attack.
James “Jim” Copenhaver, 76, of Moon Township, Allegheny County, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, according to the Republican Committee of Allegheny County. His death was announced publicly Thursday, Sept. 24, by U.S. House Republicans. A cause of death has not been released.

A Connecticut man was sentenced to more than three years in prison after a jury found him guilty of sexually assaulting a minor he met through Snapchat, prosecutors said.
Cody Cutler, 28, of Southington, was sentenced on Wednesday, Sept. 23, by Judge Tejas Bhatt, who handed down a10-year prison sentence, suspended after 40 months, followed by 10 years of probation, state prosecutors said.

A naked Connecticut man who police said showed signs of drug impairment at an I-684 rest area in Northern Westchester was caught with methamphetamine and other drugs in his vehicle, authorities announced.
Virgil J. Naveda, 56, of Darien, Connecticut, was arrested during an incident at the Bedford Service Area on southbound I-684 at around 3:24 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, New York State Police said on Thursday, Sept. 24.

A Connecticut man faces kidnapping and robbery charges after two armed men forced a clerk into an office during a robbery at a Wethersfield motel, police said.
Francisco Perez, 45, of Enfield, was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 22, in connection with the July 28 robbery at the Motel 6 on Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield police said.
