Man Moved Person From Wrecked Car Rather Than Take Him To Hospital; Victim Later Died: Police
A Connecticut man is facing several felonies after police said he crashed his car, fatally wounding his passenger, and then moved the victim to a friend's car rather than get help earlier this year in New Haven County. The man would later die of his injuries.
Luis Sanchez-Sagbay, of Bristol in Hartford County, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 23, and charged with misconduct with a motor vehicle, interfering with an officer, reckless driving, driving without insurance, operating a motor vehicle without a license, and improper use of a marker plate, Wolcott Police said.

A Connecticut man has admitted to committing at least 37 violent robberies across the state in 2022.
Hartford County resident Lonny Cross, age 45, of Bristol, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, May 21, for the crimes that ranged from Hartford to Fairfield County and one in New York in September and October 2022, said Vanessa Roberts Avery, US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

Three Connecticut men have been charged in connection with a catalytic converter trafficking ring that has already resulted in the arrests of five other people, federal officials announced.

Connecticut Lottery announced a number of big winners, including two residents who claimed $50,000 prizes.
New Haven County resident Kenneth Procino, of Milford, won a $50,000 Powerball prize, CT Lottery announced on Friday, Oct. 14.

An investigation into stolen catalytic converters across Connecticut has resulted in federal charges against five men accused of running a multi-state trafficking ring.
A federal grand jury in New Haven returned a nine-count indictment Tuesday, Aug. 16, charging the following individuals:

Man Accused Of Entering Garage, Shoving CT Woman, Stealing Her Vehicle
A warrant has been issued for a Connecticut man who allegedly entered a woman's garage, pushed her down, and then stole her SUV.
The incident took place in New Haven County in Wolcott around 9:15 a.m. Thursday, July 21.
During the incident, the suspect, identified as Litchfield County resident Michael Moniz, age 31, of New Milford, the female homeowner went into the garage and was pushed down by Moniz, who then took her car keys (that were on a hook in the garage), and drove off in her 2022 Chevy Trailblazer, said the Wolcott Police.

Two Connecticut men have been arrested by state police following a month's long investigation into a drug trafficking organization in the state.
According to the state police, a New Haven County drug trafficking organization located in Waterbury has been dismantled after the investigation by the State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force and several other agencies.
