$100K Lottery Ticket Sold In Methuen Thursday, April 25, was a lucky day for one Bay Stater as they won $100,000 in the Massachusetts State Lottery.  The "Mass Cash" ticket was sold in Methuen at Howe Street Superette at 163 Howe Street. The store will receive a bonus for the sale.  The winner got all five numbers correct in the nightly "Mass Cash" drawing. Lawrence Man Charged With Fatal Shooting A 28-year-old Lawrence man was charged with a shooting on Wednesday, April 24, where a man was rushed to the hospital and later died of his wounds, police said.  Jason Rivera, 28 of Lawrence, has been charged with murder and is being held without bail, the Essex County District Attorney said.  Police were called to the Margin Street area Wednesday night where they found a man bleeding from a gunshot wound.  Paramedics rushed him to a local hospital and then later to a Boston hospital, where he died of his injuries.  Police have not released the man's name.  Inves…

Pittsfield Man Drove Child Across State Lines For Sex: Feds A 50-year-old Berkshire County man is accused of driving a minor to have sex, authorities said.  Paul Newton-Irelan is charged with transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said.  Newton-Irelan allegedly drove the minor to New York and Massachusetts on Nov. 26, 2023, as part of a scheme for sex, authorities said. Man Hit With Stray Bullet On I-93 In Braintree As Road Rage Incident Intensifies A stray bullet hit a man in the leg as he drove through Braintree Wednesday afternoon, April 24, when a road rage incident turned violent, police said.
