CT Man Charged With Burglarizing Cars A 21-year-old Fairfield County man wanted for car burglaries was apprehended after police chased him through a McDonald's restaurant and found him under a car in a grocery store parking lot. The incident occurred in Fairfield at around 5:40 a.m. Thursday in the area of Ann Street and Nichols Street. According to Sgt. Michael Stahl of the Fairfield Police officers responded to the area after receiving a report of car alarms going off. Two suspects were seen riding bikes wearing face masks. Axe-Wielding Man In CT Captured After Foot Pursuit A 35-year-old man allegedly wielding an axe at a gas station in Fairfield County was apprehended by police after a foot chase. The incident occurred in Fairfield around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at Hemlock Hardware at 1860 Post Road. According to Sgt. One Seriously Injured After Car Crashes Into CT Building, Police Say One person received serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a car crashed into a Fairfield County business. The crash took place around 2:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 27 on Post Road (Route 1) in Fairfield. The Fairfield Fire Department arrived on the scene and found that a car had slammed into the front of an eyewear business trapping the driver, the department said.  Firefighters worked to extricate the driver of the car who sustained what is believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the driver said.
