Wrong-Way Driver Crashes Into Patrol Cruiser On I-84, CT State Police Say
A 26-year-old has been accused of driving the wrong way while drunk and striking a police cruiser in an overnight crash on a stretch of I-84 in Connecticut. Just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, Connecticut State Police received the report of the wrong-way driver in the area of Exit 8 in Danbury. The vehicle was then stopped off Exit 11 in Newtown, state police said. A 68-year-old private music teacher from Fairfield County faces sexual assault charges after allegedly starting an inappropriate relationship with a young student, police said. Newtown resident Richard Neal, age 68, was arrested by Newtown Police on Wednesday, Aug. 23 on sexual assault charges, the department announced. A New York man faces criminal charges after allegedly killing and skinning two pet dogs in Connecticut that he thought were coyotes. Putnam County resident Michael Konschak, age 61, of Carmel, faces tampering with evidence, forgery, and hunting-related violation charges after allegedly killing the two dogs in northern Fairfield County on Friday, Nov. 18 after they escaped their owner's home. A 31-year-old school employee in Fairfield County is facing multiple charges after Connecticut State Police say an investigation determined she sexually assault a student and sent unsolicited sexual pictures.
