The arrests took place in Hampden County in Springfield and included Thania Rosado on Wednesday, June 8, and Jose Amaro on Friday, June 10. According to the Hampden District Attorney Office’s Spokesperson Jim Leydon, both were charged with the murder of 23-year-old Chicopee resident Luis Lebron Alvelo on Monday, May 30. In Hampden County, an alert was issued and photos were released of Kareem Diabate, who was last seen on Thursday, May 19 in Chicopee. According to the Chicopee Police Department, Diabate was last seen walking on Chicopee Street in the direction of Holyoke. Police described Diabate as being 6-foot-5 weighing approximately 180 pounds with brown eyes, and short black hair in a faded style. Diabate also has a cross tattoo on his forearm. …

Hampden County resident Kelvin Cruz-Lopez, age 23, of Chicopee, was killed around 10:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 3 during a shooting on East Street, said the Hampden County District Attorney's Office. Almando Diaz, age 39, of Springfield, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 8, for the murder of Luis Ramos, age 32, also of Springfield, said the Hampden County District Attorney's Office. Man Shot, Killed In Region Identified The identity has been released of the person who died after a shooting in the region. Luis Vazquez, age 28, of Springfield, was shot on Saturday, Aug. 21, on Center Street in Chicopee, said the DA's Office. The Chicopee Police Department responded to the area and found shell casings but could not find anyone who had been injured.
