NORWALK, Conn. Kids from the Norwalk-based Next Generation diving team competed last weekend at the Instead of the Spinner Invitational in New Jersey.
Westons Liam Simmons finished 10th on the 1- and 3-meter boards in the boys 12-and-13-year-old division. Fairfields Ava Golden won the 9-and-under 1-meter intermediate board, and she finished third in the 3-meter in the girls 9-and-under novice division.
Fairfields Kelsey Tague took 10th on the 3-meter in the girls 14-15-year-old division and was 20th on the 1-meter. Jess Horn was 9th on the 1-meter in the girls 16-18-year-old division and 14th in the girls 3-meter.
More than 200 divers took part in the competition, with teams from Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia competing.
