If last year's weather didn't stop the Holiday 5K Run For Toys at the Scandinavian Club in Fairfield, virtually nothing will. Twenty brave runners ventured out last year to slog through about a foot of snow.
This year's edition doesn't seem to have those weather concerns. There is snow in the forecast for Sunday, but it may not start until the race is completed. The 5K begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Scandinavian Club on South Pine Creek Road.
Runners can register online or the day the event. A new unwrapped toy is also required.
The race is the final event on the Fairfield County running calendar until 2011. More information is available on the race at Enter2Run.com.
