Agent Sells a Piece of Her Past

Who better to sell a home than someone who lived in it? Top-selling William Raveis agent Anne Papastathis was a resident at 25 Prince's Pine Road in West Norwalk for 13 years, and she knows every nook and cranny of the five-bedroom colonial - even if there have been some huge changes made since she moved out 14 years ago.

"It's much different now," she said, standing in the airy kitchen. "The owners opened up the walls, added the island." She pointed through the glass doors to a huge mahogany patio under a white pergola ceiling. "That was my husband's first deck project. They updated it quite a bit!"

Anne didn't move very far away from Prince's Pine. "We loved it here," she said. It was Anne's husband who insisted they snatch up an old estate nearby, one he'd been eyeing for years. "When it went on the market, he said, 'We have to take it!' And now we love it there, too."

Anne, who grew up in Stamford, has raised two children and lived in three different houses in West Norwalk, so she considers herself something of an expert on the area. The true secret of her success is her passion for the real estate business.

"You have to love it," she said. "You have to be honest, and knowledgeable about the homes you're selling, but you have to love it."

Anne is as proud of the Prince's Pine property as she was when she owned it herself, if not more so. From the heated in-ground pool to the gleaming hardwood floors, she shows off every feature with confidence.

"I would love to see a great family move in here," she said.

Think Anne is talking about your family? The house is listed at $1,199,000. Anne can be reached at (203) 854-5116.
