Watch Out For Flooding, Fairfield County

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — The heavy rain expected to drench Fairfield County on Sunday and Monday may cause flash floods, the National Weather Service says.

A slow moving storm is bringing lots of rain to the tri-state area, the Weather Service says. Up to an inch could fall Sunday with up to 2 inches predicted for Sunday night.

Flooding is most likely in urban areas and near small streams and creeks, the Weather Service says. The rain could continue through Tuesday, with heavy downpours possible Sunday and Monday.
