NORWALK, Conn. — One Norwalk man is dead and a second is charged with vehicular manslaughter after an SUV crashed into a backhoe parked along the Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx, according to the New York Post.
Jorge Viteri, 30, was driving drunk when the accident happened near Exit 7C at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, according to the Post.
Abe Prior, 30, of Norwalk, who was a passenger in the SUV, died at Jacobi Medical Center, the Post said. Two women were treated for minor injuries, the story said.
Viteri, who was not seriously injured, was charged with vehicular manslaughter, assault, driving while intoxicated and refusing to take a Breathalyzer test, police told the Post.
