Memorial Day Brings Chance of Thunderstorms, Hail to Norwalk

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — It will be a hot and muggy Memorial Day as Fairfield County residents head out to parades, picnics and other events Monday with a high predicted of near 88 degrees under partly sunny skies.

But there is a hazardous weather outlook for Southern Connecticut through Monday night with a threat of large hail and damaging winds, mainly after noon, according to the National Weather Service. Some of the storms could be severe. A west wind will be 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
