McMahon Brings Firepower to Ad Shoot

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon brought some political firepower to Fairfield County last evening to film TV spots for her U.S. Senate campaign against Attorney General Richard Blumenthal. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie headlined a rally in Stamford to push McMahon’s campaign and be part of the ads.

“Linda McMahon is the only candidate who can bring jobs to Connecticut,” claimed Christie to a handpicked highly partisan crowd. “She’s a job creator, not a job destroyer.”

In addition to Governor Christie, Stamford Mayor Michael Pavia, Lt. Gov. Mike Fedele, 4th District congressional candidate Dan Debicella and assorted other local and state Republicans fired up the already highly charged McMahon supporters.

McMahon supporters were given hand-painted signs and were placed strategically in the background of the filming.

“I balanced the budget in New Jersey with a Democratic legislature and Linda can make positive changes in Washington with a Democratic President,” Christie added.

McMahon touted her “strong support from women all over Connecticut.” She went on to tell the jubilant crowd, “We only have 17 days left and I need everyone’s support and hard work” to win on Nov. 2. A Thursday Quinnipiac University poll showed Blumenthal leading McMahon by 54 percent to 43 percent.
