Its been a long, lonely winter, without the fresh-from-the-ground greens and goodies from local farmers markets, hasnt it? Luckily for all of us, the Westport Farmers Market is back in business in all its outdoor glory this Thursday, May 26.
Vendors will be at their old Imperial Avenue haunt, in the lot adjacent to the Westport Womens Club. Look for plenty of familiar faces, like Chef Bill Taibe of LeFarm restaurant, who will fill the Chef at the Market role, and Boxcar Cantina, which will hopefully be hawking its unparalleled guacamole.
Veggies, fruits, grains, pies, meats, cheeses, dairy, soaps, textiles -- the list of local wares is almost endless, and only available in a one-stop-shopping format at the market.
What are you most looking forward to as the Westport Farmers Market returns?
