Sip and Shop at J. McLaughlin

Fairfield County’s own musically inclined not-for-profit, Music for Youth, wants you to “sip and shop” with them Saturday, May 7, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the J. McLaughlin store in Westport, located at 1026 Post Road East. It’s a fashionable fundraiser to benefit Music for Youth’s free Young Persons’ Concerts, School Residency and Scholarship programs.

Music for Youth began in 2002 with a mission to “to foster the love and knowledge of classical music in young people.” In the nine years since, they have created a volunteer-run organization that makes classical music accessible and enjoyable for young people throughout the county.

For many, J. McLaughlin is synonymous with classic American style. Sporty, tailored lines, preppy patterns and superior attention to detail are all hallmarks of this New York-based label. Saturday, while you shop J. McLaughlin’s expansive collection of elegantly wearable looks, you can also enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres, and a special serenade by some of Music for Youth’s students. And J. McLaughlin will donate 15 percent of the evening’s sales to benefit Music for Youth’s programs.

Will you sip and shop?
