Norwalk's Stepping Stones Museum Offers Ice Skating Alternative

NORWALK, Conn. -- It  may be cold outside but kids don't seem to care, especially when they can glide around using their their socks and not worry about falling down on skates.

Sock skating, basically using your socks as opposed to ice skates, is among the popular winter attractions at Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk.

The "rink," unveiled last November and now in it's third year, will be open until February 28. According to Museum Spokesperson Linda Kwong, it has been very popular.

"It's becoming known as Connecticut's best sock skating rink," she said. "The kids really get the feel of gliding along."

This is just one of many activities for kids to enjoy and explore at Stepping Stone; for more information call 203-899-0606 or visit www.steppingstonesmuseum.org/.
