When George Morgart of Monroe called Mr. Handyman, he had a list of things to be fixed around his house. It was a variety of little household projects, Morgart says. A swivel chair that needed a new wheel, some regrouting in the bathroom, fixing the diverter on the bathtub. But a few boards on his deck that were beginning to rot turned out to be the biggest project of them all.
When they took them off, they discovered the supports underneath were rotting, too, Morgart says. So that became a larger project. The rotting was caused by water that was pooling under an overhanging bay window, and some of the siding underneath needed to be replaced as well.
It turned out to be more work than wed figured, but the important thing was they did what was necessary, and everything turned out well.
