If youre looking for Santa this weekend and cant bear the idea of battling the throngs at the mall, take a family trip to the Burr Homestead in Fairfield. The Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival will be in full swing from Friday, Dec. 3, to Sunday, Dec. 5. Tour the historic mansion and admire the different rooms. Each is decked out with holiday wreaths, decorations and trees designed by talented decorators and designers from our area, and all are available for purchase.
Photos in Santas Workshop will be taken Friday afternoon and all day Saturday and Sunday. All decorations are for sale and this year's proceeds will benefit Burroughs Community Center in Bridgeport. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and children.
The Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival is a nonprofit organization that has been raising funds and awareness for local community projects since 1981.
