The Fairfield County Chorale will perform several choral favorites with members of the New Haven Symphony. The New Haven Symphony will perform Tchaikovsky, Symphony No. 5. The Fairfield County Chorale program will include a preview from its upcoming December program of Credo from Mozart Coronation Mass and Haydn Te Deum, as well as highlights from its 50th season, including Mozart Ave Verum Corpus and selections from Vivaldi Gloria.
Fairfield County Chorale consists of more than 100 auditioned singers. The group has performed at such prestigious venues as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
The New Haven Symphony Orchestra is America’s fourth-oldest orchestra. It has premiered works by Composers-in-Residence Augusta Read Thomas and Jin Hi Kim, who have come to New Haven supported by Music Alive, a program of the League of American Orchestras and Meet-the-Composer.
