Dorothy P. Drake, 97, Of Hyde Park HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Dorothy P. Drake, of Hyde Park, died Wednesday, Nov. 16. Se was 97. Born in 1919, in Rome, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Jessie and E. LeRoy Parry.  On June 28, 1947, she married Emerson R. Drake, who predeceased her in 2002.  She graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1937 and William Smith College in 1941. Following graduation, she taught English and languages in the Rome School District. He was 93.  Born to Walter & Eugena Pieluc in Jersey City, he was a proud U.S Army veteran of World War II. He was a machinist for Westinghouse for 40 years in Jersey City before retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Polish Club, but he particularly enjoyed bowling with the Senior Bowlers, crossword puzzles and his children and grandchildren. John Serop Takoushian, 91, Of Teaneck TEANECK, N.J. -- John Serop Takoushian, of Teaneck, died Nov. 16. He was 91.  He was born Aug. 20, 1925. In 1942, he graduated from Stuyvesant High School at the age of 16. At 18, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Philippines during World War II, where he received many medals as a demolition specialist. After the war, he attended Pratt Institute, where he studied architecture. He retired as a color photo engraver.
