Edward Glinka, 99, Of Elmwood Park ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Edward Glinka, of Elmwood Park, died Nov. 18. He was 99.  He was born Feb. 6, 1917, in New York. Orphaned at the age of 3, he was raised by the sisters of the Felicia orphanage in Lodi. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific theater, earning a bronze star.  Returning to New Jersey, he married Genevieve Sofinski, also an orphan.
