Missing Simsbury Man Found Dead In Wooded Area A Simsbury man who has been missing for more than a month has been found dead in a secluded wooded area by police during a search of the area. The body of Bernard Soldate, age 57, of Simsbury, was located around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10 by members of the state police K9 unit along with Simsbury detectives on the north side of the Farmington River, which runs along Tariffville Road. Soldate was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine a cause of death. He was last seen in the West Hartford area on Wednesday, Nov. 23, police said. Suspect Nabbed During CT Home Burglary In Progress, State Police Say A 31-year-old was arrested after police said a Connecticut teen found the man burglarizing his home. New London County resident Benjamin Dahm was arrested at about 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20, according to Connecticut State Police. Police responded to a residence in the Town of Old Lyme after the 16-year-old reported that there was an unknown man in his home, authorities said.  Old Lyme Police officers saw Dahm inside the home upon arrival and discovered a Jeep Cherokee in the garage.  The Jeep did not have license plates and did not belong there, police said. Cruiser Rammed During Execution Of Search Warrants At CT Hotel, Police Say An Audi rammed a police vehicle in an effort to get away as officers served two search warrants at a Connecticut hotel related to narcotics and firearms-related crimes, according to authorities. The incident took place in Hartford County at the Hawthrone Suites, located at 191 Spencer St., in Manchester on Thursday, Aug. 12.
