Police have released the identity of a man who was hit and killed by an Amtrak train in Connecticut. Hartford County resident Amani Abele Ashley, age 23, of Bristol, was killed around 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 30 while walking along the train tracks near the intersection of Surrey Lane in Berlin. A person who fell on the tracks at a Fairfield County train station was struck by a train. The incident took place at the Bridgeport Train Station around 9:10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 13. According to the MTA, the person fell on the tracks and was struck by a train from New Haven traveling to Grand Central Station. A man who was killed after being struck by a train in Fairfield County has been identified. Scott James Harrington, age 59, of Riverside, a hamlet of Greenwich, was struck near the Cos Cob station by a New York-bound train around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, confirmed MTA officials. Harrington was reportedly an employee at J.P. Morgan. The train engineer was briefly hospitalized following the incident, officials said. The incident is under investigation by the MTA.

Woman Rescued After Falling Between Train, Platform At CT Train Station
A woman received minor injuries after falling between an MTA train and the platform in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Stamford around 8:10 pm., Tuesday, July 5 at the Springdale Train Station. A Connecticut man was killed after being hit by a train in Fairfield County. The incident place around 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 4 in the vicinity of the Cos Cob station. Killed was Hartford County resident Michael Haden Crouse, age 38, of Newington, said MTA Police Department spokesperson Aaron Donovan. The unidentified person was hit around 6:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the Stamford Train Station, said the MTA. The person was pronounced dead on the scene, they added.
