Man Nabbed For DUI Following CT Crash, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been charged with allegedly driving under the influence after running into the back of another car. The incident occurred in Wilton on Thursday, March 21 at the intersection of of Danbury Road and Grumman Hill Road. When police arrived, they found that a black 2013 Chevrolet Camaro had been rear-ended by a black 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, said Lt. Woman Nabbed After Driving Drunk In CT: Police A 48-year-old woman faces drunk driving charges after being pulled over on a busy road in Fairfield County, police announced. The arrest stemmed from an incident on Thursday, March 21 just before 2:30 a.m., when Wilton Police stopped a black 2015 Subaru Impreza that had been traveling north on Danbury Road (Route 7), according to the department.  The driver, Ridgefield resident Adrienne Allen, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and admitted to drinking before driving. CT Woman Nabbed Going 20 MPH Over While Drunk On St. Patrick's Day, Police Say A 35-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly driving drunk and speeding on a Connecticut road, authorities said. The Fairfield County incident happened on the night of St. Partick’s Day (Sunday, March 17) in the town of Wilton. Just before 10 p.m., 35-year-old Amanda Oboy was reportedly driving her Jeep down Danbury Road (Route 7) near Cricket Lane going 54 miles per hour (nearly 20 over the speed limit of 35). Drunk Driver Nabbed After Striking Guard Rail, Fleeing Scene In CT: Police A 47-year-old woman faces several charges after crashing into a guard rail in Fairfield County while drunk and driving away from the scene before eventually being caught, police announced.  The incident happened on Wednesday, Dec. 20 around 9:30 p.m., when a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Ridgefield resident Paula Carter, age 47, was traveling north on Danbury Road by the intersection with Olmstead Hill Road in Wilton and struck a guardrail, according to Wilton Police.  Carter then drove away from the scene but was soon pulled over by a Wilton patrol officer, police said. …

Failure To Maintain Lane Leads To DUI Charge For CT Man: Police A Fairfield County man was nabbed for allegedly driving under the influence after he was seen not maintaining his lane of travel. Edward Turner, age 57, of Danbury, was stopped by Wilton Police around 2:15 a.m., Friday, Dec. 8 in his gray 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. According to Lt. Anna Tornello of the Wilton Police, Turner was stopped after police spotted him failing to maintain his lane of travel on Danbury Road.
