Sgt. Sean Scanlan, of the Stamford Police, said the department is working to identify the man who was caught on surveillance near two fires on Thursday, Sept. 29. A third fire on West Avenue around 11 a.m. Thursday is not believed to be a suspected arson, police said. Tractor-Trailer Crash Causes Hours-Long I-95 Delays This story has been updated. There were delays of around two hours on a stretch of I-95 after a tractor-trailer crash in Fairfield County. The crash happened on the northbound side Friday morning, Aug. 21 at around 4 a.m., initially shutting down all lanes in Darien between Noroton Avenue/Exit 10 and Route 1/Exit 11. One lane reopened around daybreak with traffic backed up to Harvard Avenue/West Avenue (Exit 6) in Stamford. The highway did not fully reopen until the end of the morning commute.
