Car Slams Into Tractor-Trailer On I-84 In Vernon, Driver Gets Out With Help From Samaritans A person was injured after their vehicle crashed into a tractor-trailer on Interstate 84 in Vernon.  The crash happened on Tuesday, Feb. 14 around 5 p.m. on I-84 eastbound just after the Exit 66 on-ramp, according to the Vernon Fire Department.  Upon arriving, first responders found the car heavily damaged and discovered that the driver had been able to escape from the wreckage with the help of good samaritans who had stopped to help. Pole Comes Crashing Down On Rolled-Over Car In Vernon A person had to be rescued through a sunroof after their vehicle rolled over in Vernon, causing a telephone pole to come crashing down.  The crash happened during the early morning of Friday, Feb. 10 around 2 a.m., when police and firefighters were sent to the area of 248 Vernon Ave. for a report of a rolled-over vehicle, according to the Vernon Fire Department.  After arriving at the scene, officials found a rolled-over car with a fallen telephone pole on top of it.
