US Marshals Nab Canadian Double Murder Suspect In Hartford
A man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for a 2022 double homicide has been nabbed by the US Marshals Service in Connecticut. Kensworth Alton Francis, 29, of Mississauga, Ontario, was arrested in Hartford on Tuesday, March 26. York Regional Police said they are working to extradite Francis to the York Region. According to Constable James Dickson of the York Regional Police, on Saturday, July 23, 2022, around 3:30 a.m., York Regional Police responded to the ATL Lounge in the City of Vaughan for a report of shots fired. CT Man Accused Of Shooting Victim Inside Home
A Connecticut man has been charged in connection to a shooting at a home in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Norwalk in January at an East Norwalk home. According to Sgt. Ryan Evarts of the Norwalk Police, the victim was found with a gunshot wound to his abdomen and transported to Norwalk Hospital. Evarts said detectives were able to identify Raymond Dewitt, age 25, of New Haven, as the suspect. A search warrant for Dewitt’s home was secured and crucial evidence was obtained. A Meriden man will spend years in prison after picking up packages full of cocaine that were shipped through the US Postal Service. Jean Carlos Mercado, age 34, was sentenced on Friday, Feb. 10 to 50 months in prison for participating in a drug trafficking organization that sent kilogram quantities of cocaine through the US Mail, according to the US Attorney's Office for the District of Connecticut. A Fairfield County man considered armed and dangerous who was wanted for the alleged murder of his girlfriend was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Tennessee, following a standoff with police. Two Children Rescued After Fugitives Apprehended In Connecticut
Two toddlers were rescued and a couple was arrested after US Marshals tracked the pair to Connecticut.
