CT Schools Schedule Early Dismissals Due To Extreme Heat Some schools in Connecticut will be letting students out of class early on Monday afternoon as the state contends with the first heatwave of the summer. Schools announced schedule changes for Monday, June 7, as the heat index is expected to top 100 degrees with the school year winding down. Covid-19: City High School Goes Fully-Remote Following Weekend Party A city high school is transitioning to full-remote learning after a student tested positive for COVID-19 and admitted attending a large social gathering with other students over the weekend. On Wednesday, Nov. 18, Superintendent Matt Curtis said that Simsbury High School will be providing full-remote education Thursday-Friday, Nov. 19-20.
