West Hartford Man Killed In Shootings, Two Others Wounded, Police Say
Police in Connecticut are investigating two shootings that left a 22-year-old man dead and two others wounded.
At around 1:50 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 18, police responded to the area of 614 Albany Ave., in Hartford for a Shot Spotter activation, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police.
Minutes later officers were dispatched to a second Shot Spotter activation at 152 Mather St., Boisvert said.

Hartford Man Found Shot To Death On City Street By Citizen, Police Say
A Connecticut man was found shot to death on a city street after he was found by a citizen.
Devonte Downer, age 22, was found around midnight on Wednesday, Dec. 1, in the rear of 158 Magnolia St., in Hartford.
At around 11:20 p.m., Hartford Police responded to the area of 27 Enfield St., for a Shot Spotter call, said Lt. Aaron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police.
Responding officers conducted a thorough canvass of the area and did not locate any evidence of a shooting, Boisvert said.

Two Shot, One Fatally At Same Location In Hartford, Police Say
Two people were shot, one fatally, at the same location in Connecticut.
The latest round of bullets flying took place around 11 p.m., Thursday, July 29, in Hartford in the area of 29 Elliott St.
When officers responded after being notified of the shooting by a Shot Spotter activation, they located a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in front of 22 Elliott St., said Hartford PD Lt. Aaron Boisvert.
The victim, identified as Angelo Lopez, age 24, of Hartford, was unresponsive on the scene and was transported to Hartford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Suspect To Be Charged With Murder For Killing Father Of Two
One month after his death, police have identified a suspect in the killing of a father with two children.
It turns out, the man was already in custody.
On Nov. 17 Hartford Police arrested Craig “Apex” Gore, 47, of East Hartford, on narcotics charges, according to Fox61. He is still behind bars, according to Connecticut's inmate registry.
In December, police obtained a warrant for Gore in connection to the Nov. 8 killing of Guillermo "Guillo" Rivera, 38. The charge on the warrant, which is still active, is murder.
