Teen Dies After House Fire Breaks Out In Region A teen was killed and an adult seriously injured during a raging house fire in Western Massachusetts, authorities announced. It happened in Hampden County around 9 a.m., Wednesday, March 9 at a home in Agawam. Agawam firefighters responded to the area of Squire Lane following a 911 call, said Agawam Fire Chief Alan Sirois.  On arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke and flames on all sides of the two-story structure, and a second alarm was ordered a short time later, Sirois said.
