The sting took place in Hartford on Thursday, Dec. 7 in the Wethersfield and Franklin avenues area. Hartford Woman Dies From Injuries In Shooting Over Dog, Police Say A Connecticut woman who was shot during a dispute between neighbors over a dog that left two others dead has died from her injuries. Nikia Rankins, age 27, of Hartford, died on Friday, July 1 from injuries incurred during the incident on Sunday, June 19. Rankins was found shot when police responded to a report of gunfire at a multi-family home on Franklin Avenue and located three unresponsive victims with gunshot wounds, said Lt. Woman Struck, Killed By Car Near Hartford Intersection A Connecticut woman crossing a busy roadway was hit and killed by a vehicle. Yarillis Esteras, age 43, of Hartford, was hit around 11:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 8 in the area of Franklin Avenue and Bliss Stree in Hartford. According to Lt. Aaron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police, when officers arrived on the scene they found Esteras had been struck by a vehicle and was critically injured.
